Justin Fuente and the Virginia Tech Hokies should come into the 2020 season with a chip on their shoulders.
They’ll have to wait until the end of the season to avenge their 2019 loss to the University of Virginia. This year, the Hokies get UVA at home with 11 games prior to that one.
Tech host Liberty in the opening week of the season, then hosts Penn State before hitting the road for a road game at Middle Tennessee.
Home games against Northern Alabama and Georgia Tech are next, then the Hokies head to Chapel Hill to take on the Tar Heels.
After a perfectly placed bye week in the middle of their schedule, Virginia Tech will attack the back six of their schedule starting with a Thursday night home game against Boston College, then road games at Louisville and Pitt. They’re closing out their schedule with a home game against Miami, they’ll visit Duke, then come home for a game against UVA in their regular season finale.
“We’re excited about playing seven games at Lane Stadium once again,” head coach Justin Fuente said in the athletics department’s press release. “The squad is back on campus for the new semester and is beginning our winter conditioning program, as we continue our preparations for the 2020 season. We appreciate the support and encouragement of our fans wherever we play. We’ll look forward to seeing our fans out in force once again in 2020.”
