Woodside starting defensive end Tyreece White (2020 DE 5-11 200) is back to making headlines just a week removed from postseason play. The All-District product was instrumental during the Wolverines playoff run and has watched his collegiate interest rise as a result of his play throughout the season. On Wednesday afternoon, White was able to pick up another collegiate offer this one coming from Elizabeth City State University.
“I sent my film on Twitter and Coach Brown really liked it,” White stated. “Then I got invited up for a game and saw the team. After that, he called my phone with the good news. I think this offer is truly a special one to think about.”
Aside from ECSU, White (2020 DE 6-0 205) also holds offers from: Johnson C. Smith, Washington and Lee, Davidson, and Rose Hulman. The Woodside product currently holds a 4.2 grade point average and was able to secure a 1220 in his last SAT assessment.
The Woodside product was more than instrumental on the defensive side of the ball for the Wolverines this season. He was able to pick up 69 total tackles (26 for loss), 19 sacks, and two touchdowns. His efforts on the season was good enough for a second-team All-District bid to go along with the 12 other prospects for the Wolverines that made either first or second team.
White plans to hit the road yet again and has aspirations to make his way to North Carolina A & T, Houston, and Elon. Prior to the start of the regular season, White was no stranger to putting himself in a position to maximize his exposure which included visits to Davidson, Houston, VMI, and Old Dominion.
The Woodside product is yet to announce when he might make a decision on his future, however; don’t expect one to be made before the early signing day which is on December 18.
