For 23 years, the Hampton Roads Youth Foundation has put on a free football camp for youth and for High School athletes.
Over the years, they’ve added to the fan experience by hosting meet and greet events with NFL stars, bowling night, and this year, a casino night with Mike Tomlin.
The event schedule has already started. The next event on deck is Friday night, where the Hampton Roads Convention Center will be the home for Casino Night with Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin with Special Guest Host, NFL Network Analyst Michael Robinson. Proceeds of Casino Night benefit HRYF 501(c)3 educational programs and the HRYF Scholarship Fund.
On Saturday at Hampton University’s Armstrong Stadium, the High School athletes and teams of the 757 will participate in an All-Star football camp with former NFL players from the 757. This is the longest running camp in the Hampton Roads area and the second longest running camp in the state of Virginia. The event is FREE and in previous years has included stars with local ties like Michael Vick, B.W. Webb, Derrick Nnadi, Aaron Brooks, and many, many others.
The weekend wraps on Saturday night with an NFL Bowling Party where fans can buy a ticket to bowl and celebrate with NFL athletes like Antoine Bethea NY Giants), Chuck Clark (Ravens), Rashad Coward (Bears), Jalyn Holmes (Vikings), Shamarko Thomas (Broncos), Mike Tyson (Packers), Oshane Ximines (Giants), B.W. Webb (Bengals) and Trenton Cannon (NY Jets).
More information on these events are available at the HRYF website.
