The Norfolk State athletic department unveiled their 2020 football schedule on Monday, and that schedule features five home games and four more games in Maryland or North Carolina. Spartans fans won’t have far to go to see nine of the 11 games on the 2020 schedule.
Like the 2019 schedule, Norfolk State will play two FBS programs in 2020: at Charlotte and at East Carolina. The Spartans played Old Dominion and Coastal Carolina last season.
The schedule starts with the Labor Day Classic at William “Dick” Price Stadium on Saturday, September 5 with a 6:00 p.m. kickoff.
From there, the Spartans hit the road for Charlotte and East Carolina. After that, the MEAC schedule kicks in with four road games and four home games in conference.
“We expect the MEAC to be challenging again in 2020,” Scott said in the school’s press release. “Last year showed how much parity there is in the league, and we’re looking forward to seeing how we measure up after a strong second half of the season.”
NSU went 5-7 in 2019, 4-4 in the MEAC, and won four of its final six games.
