This has been another busy week for Ocean Lakes football athletes.
On Wednesday, offensive tackle Tyler Stephens landed another Division I offer when William and Mary extended an offer. Ocean Lakes head coach Joe Jones shared the news with recruit757.
“Tyler Stephens was offered by William and Mary,” said the coach. “We went to practice (Wednesday) and met all of the coaches including Coach London.”
In the previous weekend, several Dolphins visited Liberty. Brown, Stephens and Alston came back with offers from the Flames’ coaching staff.
“Our coach, Mike Alston, is doing a great job getting these guys on visits where they need to be and helping communicate with the college coaches,” Jones said.
Jones was scheduled to be back at the high school this week after a lay off due to surgery. He had been on hiatus since late December.
Coach Jones also had a lot of positives to say about his up and coming defensive back, Devon Allen.
“Devon has a lot of interest (growing). Coaches want to see him in camp this spring and summer. His speed is his biggest asset. He led our team in PBUs this past season. His time is coming,” Jones explained. “When college coaches watch video of any of our players, then the opportunity for others to catch their eye becomes greater. It’s iron sharpening iron.”
For offers, here’s what the key players at Ocean Lakes hold now:
Tyler Stephens (2020 OT 6-4 280) – Kent State, Old Dominion, Temple, East Carolina, Navy, Liberty, and William and Mary.
