Western Michigan lands a 757 commit in Keondre Hodges

Since the beginning of the calendar year, Keondre Hodges (2021 DE 6-3 270) picked up eleven college scholarship offers.
It’s easy to see why the offers were coming his way.
Hodges plays the game aggressively. He was selected as a Second Team All-Region D-lineman in his junior season at I.C. Norcom. Keondre was also a First Team All-757 Juniors selection for 2019. He posted 88 tackles, 5 sacks and 25 TFL in 12 games last season.
He picked up an offer from Western Michigan about a month ago, and while considering his options, the Broncos kept popping up as a top option.
“Western is where I belong and I can’t wait to get started,” Hodges told recruit757. “I felt like it was a good decision for me and my family. I’m going to school for free and it means a lot to me and my family.”

The Coronavirus outbreak put a stop to college visits, so Hodges is committing without being able to take his official visit. That trip could still come later in the year once things open back up.
“I feel like me and the coaches get along well. I will major in Journalism. They have a great program and I feel like it’s the best place to be for me right now,” Keondre said. “It’s a blessing. I’ve worked so hard for this moment and here is the time. I’m also ready for this upcoming season for Oscar Smith.”
Hodges’ offer list included Buffalo, UMass, LIU-Post, Morgan State, Delaware, NC Central, Virginia State, Wagner, Grambling, Southern Miss and Western Michigan
The Oscar Smith Tigers may be entering a season where they’re the favorite to run the table in the Southeastern District and in Region 6A on their way to another state title game. Ask any current Tiger Football player, and they’ll proclaim they’re ready.
Coach Chris Scott would tell anyone that his coaches and his team are taking the season one game at a time. “1-0 every week,” is one of his favorite sayings.
We’ll look for the Tigers and Keondre Hodges to do great things this fall.
