Now at 24 offers, Zemarion Harrell is excited about Louisville

The Salem Sundevils had a successful season in 2019, advancing all the way to the Region 5A championship game until falling to eventual state champion Maury.
A lot of Salem’s success on defense in 2019 was keyed by defensive back Zemarion Harrell (2021 DB 6-3 215). That prowess on the defensive side of the ball has led to an accumulation of offers from quite a few big time schools.
Add Louisville to the list.
The Cardinals offered Zemarion over the weekend.
“It’s a great school. I’m very interested in getting up there to see the campus and see what they have to offer for me,” Harrell said. “Recruiting is a very long process, especially with me having a lot of options. I’m going to soon decide where I will be spending my next four years to continue with the sport that I love.”
Spring will be very busy for Zemarion as he whittles down his list and makes visits.
“I will be announcing my top five soon,” he said. “My visit list will include Maryland, Louisville, Penn State, Pitt, Miami, and Clemson.”
Harrell didn’t say that those schools were his final group or that they would be the only schools he would visit. It’s interesting that there are no in-state schools on that unofficial short list.
