Old Dominion has eyes on HRA DL Seven Warren, does an offer loom?

Hampton Roads Academy starting defensive lineman Seven Warren is a bad man with bad intentions every time he takes a step on the football field. The rising sophomore forced himself on the recruit757 radar last year at the Clash of the Titans Showcase in front of a field that included Corey Holloway (Lake Taylor), Keeron Henderson (Highland Springs), and Bramon Lane (C.D. Hylton) among others. During his first season under HRA head coach Ron Dechirico, Warren logged playing time in eight contests which led to him achieving All-State and Max Preps All-American recognition on the defensive side of ball.
This attention has paved the way for numerous programs to ponder the type of impact he possesses not just at the moment, but also later on down the road. Old Dominion head coach Bobby Wilder hosted a contingent on HRA prospects on Tuesday in which Seven Warren served as the main attraction. Coach Wilder was very much impressed with the stature of Warren and is expecting him back at ODU this weekend for his One-Day Prospect Camp.
“I had a great time overall,” Warren explained. “Coach Allen has been coming to recruit another player from my school (Messiah Russell) and I since I was in the eighth grade. It was great to get out and meet with him and also Coach Wilder.”
Warren (2022 DL 6-4 288) had a favorable season in his first year at Hampton Roads Academy last year collecting 71 tackles (32 for loss), three sacks, and two fumble recoveries. He also took a snap out of the backfield rushing for 42 yards on a single carry. Don’t expect Warren to be taking many more hand offs or direct snaps out of the backfield, but know that it’s a possible go-to option to keep teams on the defensive side of the ball honest.
The HRA product has kept his travel to a minimum throughout the spring most notably making stops at the recruit757/Sparta Science Showcase at Redskins Park and the Under Armour Camp in Baltimore, Maryland last month. His tenacious attitude towards self-improvement has awarded him opportunities to camp at Old Dominion on June 2 and Norfolk State with is slated for June 16. Programs such as Buffalo and Elon are also beginning to take notice as a multitude of camp invites continue to pour in.
“South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Michigan State, North Carolina, Penn State, Notre Dame and Liberty have been sending me camp invites or questionnaires,” Warren said. “That or coaches have come and spoken to me directly. I’ve just been grinding like no other and schools have started to realize that.”
