Region 4B First Round: #7 Dinwiddie (5-5) @ #2 Monacan (8-2)

Dinwiddie and Monacan will square off in the playoffs for the fourth time since 2015. The Generals hold a 3-0 record vs. the Chiefs in those post season games, outscoring them 122-70. Last season, Dinwiddie dispatched Monacan 38-32 in the regional semi-finals before falling to Eastern View in the finals.
Monacan is heavily favored to get over the hump and beat Dinwiddie this year. However, we all know you can never dismiss a team coached by Billy Mills no matter what their record is. The Generals in my opinion are the scariest .500 team in the playoffs and Coach Henderson and the Chiefs will have their work cut out for them.
LAST TIME OUT: DINWIDDIE
The Generals fell 46-44 to Thomas Dale despite another big performance from senior running back Robert Barlow. Barlow racked up 309 yards on 44 carries and found the end zone five times but in the end the Knights were able to steal a win.
LAST TIME OUT: MONACAN
Monacan dropped a 35-14 decision to rival Clover Hill. Quarterback Tyler Hensley completed 17 of his 28 pass attempts for 220 yards and a TD. Hensley was picked off three times by the Cavalier defense.
