Douglas Freeman OL Will Reid picks up offer from Davidson

It’s been an extremely productive offseason for Douglas Freeman starting offensive lineman Will Reid. The Douglas Freeman product has kept a busy schedule which has included attending as many collegiate camps that he can get his hands on. His offer list is one that began with Dartmouth College at the beginning of the year and has continued to grow with the regular season peeking right around the corner. On Monday, Reid was the beneficiary of yet another offer this one coming from the home of Golden State great Stephen Curry in Davidson College.
“I’ve been definitely talking to the coaches from Davidson for a long time there,” Reid told recruit804. “The staff definitely has a good history of coaching Freeman guys being from W & L. I was happy to get the offer and I’ll be back down there for a camp in July.”
Reid (2020 OL 6-4 280) will most definitely be a steal for whichever program he decides to commit to later on in the year. Aside from Davidson he’s also picked up offers from: Sacred Heart, VMI, Bryant, Howard, and Dartmouth. His camps and visits throughout the off-season have included: recruit757/Sparta Science Showcase, Princeton, William and Mary, Duke, and Virginia. Getting the opportunity to perform in front of collegiate coaches is one of the most important factors when it comes to recruiting and it’s a challenge that the All-Region offensive lineman doesn’t take lying down.
“I really just try to get out there and try my best,” Reid explained. “I do the best I can in front of the coaches. I also try to be really attentive and coachable.”
From an academic standpoint, Reid is as solid as they come earning a 1390 on his first SAT attempt back in March. He also holds a 4.3 grade point average which combined with his SAT score is poised to open many more doors for the Douglas Freeman product before the start of the regular season.
