Glen Allen is going to be a force this upcoming season just like it was a force last season. Perry Jones is set to take over and both the program and community are expecting the same if not better results than last season. The Jaguars posted their best defensive numbers in the history of its program last season and its best of student-athletes such as Solomon Dozier that allowed Glen Allen to instill fear in many opponents.
Heading into the regular season, we recognize the top 30 senior prospects in and around the region of Central Virginia. Continuing our countdown at number 89 is none other than senior prospect
Glen Allen starting defensive lineman Solomon Dozier.
#29 Solomon Dozier (2020 DE 6-2 205) – Glen Allen High School
Starting defensive end Solomon Dozier was a top tier lineman for Glen Allen during his junior year. The Glen Allen product picked up All-Region recognition in route to helping his team finish with a 9-3 record along with Devin Flowers, Chris Butler, Donovan Riddick and Caleb Vernon. It wasn’t until the off-season that his recruitment finally began to catch up with all the domination he’s shown on and off the football field.
Back in mid-April, Dozier finally picked up his first collegiate offer from Ron Prince and Howard University. A little over a month later, he went on to pick up his second offer from Delaware State University. However, right around the same time that DSU was ready to commit to Dozier, he decided that Howard would be the program he wanted to spend the next two-to-four years working on his development. Over the offseason, Dozier made sure to spread himself around as much as he could making visits out to Virginia Tech, Howard, and the recruit757/Sparta Science Showcase at Redskins Park among other places. The Glen Allen product is by far one of the best defensive linemen in the Central Region.
