Richmond bags their first commit from the 757! Jahlil Green of Lafayette had been racking up scholarship offers like he racked up yardage last season. The transfer from West Point quickly caught the eye of college coaches this spring after such a productive junior season. Green rushed for 1,546 yards and 20 TDs last season, in addition to playing on the defensive side of the ball. He held ten offers when he made his verbal commitment on Wednesday, just before the holiday weekend.
Lake Taylor cornerback Nhyre Quinerly is a rising junior and he already has a couple of offers in the bag. UMass was the first to offer, and he holds an offer from James Madison as well. There are some big time schools that look to be ready to pull the trigger, including Florida State. Nationally renowned class of 2014 recruit Andrew Brown strengthened Mike London’s recruiting class Saturday afternoon when he announced his commitment to the Cavaliers. The Oscar Smith defensive lineman has been highly coveted by several dozen college programs. When it came down to decision time, the big man decided that he wanted to stay close to home.

After attending skills camps such as Mike London’s Big Man Camp and ECU’s offensive and defensive lineman camps prior to his freshman season, colleges are starting to show interest for Southampton Academy center Caleb Bradshaw. Caleb is receiving camp invites to colleges ranging from D-III Maryland schools to D-II South Carolina schools. Once he makes an appearance it becomes obvious Bradshaw is dedicated to his craft and future. Coaches see he wants to succeed at the college level both on the field and in the classroom.
