Andrew Brown is now making a name for himself at Nike’s The Opening in Oregon. Prior to his trip out west, he spent his Saturday announcing his college committment and celebrating that announcement. He verballed to Mike London and the UVA Cavaliers. Lafayette RB Picks Spiders

Richmond bags their first commit from the 757! Jahlil Green of Lafayette had been racking up scholarship offers like he racked up yardage last season. The transfer from West Point quickly caught the eye of college coaches this spring after such a productive junior season. Green rushed for 1,546 yards and 20 TDs last season, in addition to playing on the defensive side of the ball. He held ten offers when he made his verbal commitment on Wednesday, just before the holiday weekend.

Cotton Brings College Experience To Norview (VIDEO)

Norview High School Football has seen a lot of turn over in the head coaching position. Coach Robert Toran was the last coach that lasted more than a season, and he left in early 2010. Toran coached the team through some good years, but despite Greg Gibson’s strong run in 2011, the Pilots have been sorely missing much needed consistency at the top. That should change now with the arrival of Dealton Cotton.

HU Camp Packed With Local Talent

The book on Hampton University football is now in a new chapter. The Pirates have turned an eye to more intently recruiting the 757 and the results are already showing. They locked in their first local recruit in the 2014 class this week when T.J. Boothe of Western Branch verbally committed. Saturday’s camp at HU was full of more locals looking to land a lucrative scholarship offer, and there were a number of players that already held offers, back for another look.

The Oscar Smith defensive lineman has been highly coveted by several dozen college programs. When it came down to decision time, the big man decided that he wanted to stay close to home.
