Menchville Loses Moore

The Peninsula District has another coaching opening. Coach Melvin Moore confirmed that he has decided to leave Menchville High School after coaching there for two years. That leaves Menchville and Warwick with coaching vacancies, in Spring practice season with recruiting visits by college coaches ready to start up on next week.

Neeshant Parikh: Ready to Lead, Ready to Play

Neeshant Parikh (JR QB 6-2 175) from Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond is setting his sights on a great senior year and the desire to play college football. Neeshant threw for 1,100 yards for the Titans this past season as he lead his team to a 7-4 record.  Throwing for 200 yards a few times this past season, Neeshant is looking to improve and lead his team to a state title, avenging a first round playoff exit this past season.

Athletes from the 804 Descend on Old Dominion University

Another weekend and another opportunity for athletes from the 804 to visit college campuses. Three of the area’s top recruits made the 90 minute drive out to Norfolk and visited Old Dominion University. Alec Eberle (JR, OG/DT, 6-4, 270) from Atlee HS in Mechanicsville, Brandon Tyson (JR, OG/DT, 6-3, 320) from Clover Hill HS in Chesterfield, and Rashaad Goodwyn (JR, S, 5-11, 190) from Dinwiddie HS all descended on the Monarchs.

One of the Richmond area’s top college football 2015 prospects Rick Deberry (SO OLB/DE 6-2 235) from St. Christopher’s in Richmond, spends much of his afternoons sifting through the dozens of letters he receives from the nation’s top programs.
