Elon may be in North Carolina, but they’ve made sure to keep tabs on the talent pool in their neighbor to the North.
Their move to the CAA has been good for the program, giving them rivalries with programs such as Richmond, William and Mary and James Madison.
Osbourn wide receiver Antonio White (2019 FS 6-0 170) played multiple roles for the Eagles in his junior season, including wide receiver and punt/kick returner in addition to his duties as a safety. In 2017, he was a Second Team All-Cedar Run District selection at defensive back, and he won a Regional MVP award for his performance at the Ultimate Recruit 2018 Clash of the Titans camp at Highland Springs High School.
White landed an offer from Elon a month ago on June 24. It only took him a few weeks to make his decision to commit to the Phoenix.

“As far as education goes, Elon is a strong, academic driven university. They are all about the teaching aspect for all students. They are also nationally ranked. They have what I want to study,” White stated. “All the football coaches are about developing their athletes into men and exceptional football players with high character. Their football program is going into a phenomenal direction and I want to be the guy who helps the team win championships down the road.”
White was developing interest from other Division I schools, but the academics and the opportunity to improve the team sold him on heading to Elon.
