Junior Day at Towson nets an offer for Ryan Coll

Ryan Coll has landed his first college scholarship offer.
His versatility was a selling point.
“I went up for a Junior Day and they said they loved having me on campus and that I can come in as a tight end, and if I need to move to a tackle in a few years that’s also possible. They said since I have this option it will earn me playing time quicker too,” said Coll.
Coll plays tight end currently. At 6-5 and 265 pounds, he’s a huge target in the passing game for Battlefield.
“I’ve always been a tight end through high school and I’m on the bigger end of tight ends, but I would like to continue catching passes and still be a 6th man on the line as well,” he said.
The Towson offer is a kick start for his recruitment. He’d be a great fit for the Tigers. In addition to Towson, Coll reports that he’s talking a lot to Virginia Tech, UVA, JMU and West Virginia.
Coll isn’t resting easy after landing his first offer. He’s continuing to train hard and work on his versatility.
“I’m speed training and getting stronger for the season so I can dominate at tight end and defensive end,” he explained.
A 6-5 and 270 pound speed rusher could be force on the edge. Ryan Coll could see his stock jump if he managed to play his way into that role.
