Coming into his senior season, Lake Braddock lineman Ronnie Altman(2019 OL 6-2 265) was drawing a good bit of college attention.
His offer list included schools like New Hampshire, Hampton, Georgetown, Air Force Academy, UVA-Wise and Fairmont State. On Monday, he announced his intention to attend the Air Force Academy.
“The opportunities that I have after football at the academy are endless and something I just couldn’t pass on,” said Altman. “It just felt like home the second I arrived in Colorado for my official visit.”
Altman had a home visit last week from Air Force Assistant Coach Chip Vaughn. His official visit to the Colorado Springs campus came over the weekend.
As a part of his academy education, he will attend the AFA prep school before his freshman season as a Cadet.
“(Prep school is) something I’m looking forward to because it will prepare me to succeed in the academy. There are so many options at the academy so I’m going to be taking some core classes in different subjects and try to figure out (what I’ll do) in the future,” Altman explained. “I’m excited to start this new journey next year and I can’t wait to become a Falcon.”
In his senior season, Altman was selected as a First Team All-District and First Team All-Region offensive lineman.
