recruitNoVA Fab 30: Ryan Coll of Battlefield High School is #23
by Andy Hilton, recruitNoVA
Our #23 athlete in the recruitNoVA Fab 30 countdown recently committed to the University of Richmond.
Heading into the regular season, we recognize the top 30 senior prospects in all of Northern Virginia. That’s a tall task, considering that we track the talent at 86 high school programs in the region. Coming into our countdown as the 23rd best senior prospect region-wide is Battlefield lineman Ryan Coll.
#23 Ryan Coll (2019 DE 6-2 240) – Battlefield High School
We got our first long look at Ryan Coll (2019 TE/OT/DE 6-5 290) at the 2017 Clash of the Titans Showcase at Highland Springs. That event brings together some of the best athletes from the 757, the 804 and Northern Virginia to compete and show which region is best. Also, it’s a great opportunity for athletes around the state to meet and compete, just because they seldom see the talent outside of their area.
Coll is versatile enough to play tight end and defensive end, and he’s earned All-District honors for both positions. As a tight end, his primary strength is to compliment the offensive line and provide an additional blocker for Battlefield’s running backs.
