Heading into the regular season, we recognize the top 30 senior prospects in and around the Northern Virginia region. Continuing our countdown at number four is Freedom (PW) High School lineman Vershon Lee.
#4 Vershon Lee (2020 OT 6-4 285) – Freedom (Woodbridge) High School
South Carolina commit Vershon Lee had a banner year in 2018. He had a big hand in taking his team to the VHSL Class 6 State Championship game. He landed a ton of scholarship offers for his prowess including schools like Virginia Tech, East Carolina, Tennessee, Pitt, NC State, and West Virginia.
For his junior season, Vershon was selected as a First Team All-Region 6C offensive lineman, and he was selected Second Team All-NoVA and second team Class 5 All-State.
The 2018 Eagles were extremely successful behind a fierce offensive line that included Josh Fuga, Kealey Davis, Damien Holloway, Jordan Jefferson and Lee. Most of those players also played on the defensive front for Freedom. Vershon is stepping up as a senior leader and already has his team at 2-0 on the season with a huge game against Colonial Forge (1-0) coming this Friday.
