The recruit757/Sparta Science Showcase at Redskins Park earlier in March gave Tristan Leigh (2021 OL 6-5 255) an excellent measure of his status as a top regional prospect.
The lineman battles were epic and Leigh more than held his own.
Earlier in the week, the Pitt Panthers became the latest BCS program to extend a scholarship offer to Robinson’s cornerstone in the trenches.
“I talked to Coach (Chris) Beatty and he said that the offensive line coach and the whole staff really like my film and they’re very excited to offer me a scholarship, and they would like me to visit soon,” Leigh explained. “I’m very excited about this offer. Pitt has an excellent football program, and is a great school. I can’t wait to visit and meet the staff and see the school. I am very grateful of the opportunity they are giving me, and my plan is to work even harder now.”
The offer from Pitt gives him three options, including prior offers from the University of Virginia and Purdue.
Leigh visited Wake Forest Friday and has a visit scheduled for Virginia Tech this weekend.
“I wouldn’t say that in particular I’m closer to any (school) over the others. I feel like having a strong and close relationship with the coaches is definitely a crucial part of the process of deciding where you want to go.”
