King George County lineman Dekker Chuska has the pieces in place. Now it’s time to put it all together.
He came to the recruit757 Clash of the Titans Showcase at Highland Springs High School measuring over 6 feet 4 and a quarter inches, and just shy of 300 pounds. On the offensive line, that makes him a strong part of the pass protection and run blocking for his Foxes’ team.
College visits and camps are going to be the next key objective for Dekker.
“I’m hoping for a good season,” said Dekker. “I’ve been to Liberty. I’ve been to Virginia Tech. I have Bridgewater and Howard texting me, so I’m doing good.”
His next step is going to be continued off-season work which should pay off when hit hits the one-day prospect camp circuit. Chuska holds no offers now, but hopes to earn them as he closes in on his senior season.
“(The college coaches) tell me that I have to keep my grades up and that I have to be good,” he said. “(Today I’m working on) my form and staying low. Pancaking.”
Dekker reports that he has visits to UConn, Delaware and Sam Houston State (Texas) coming up. He plans to camp at UConn, New Hampshire, the US Coast Guard Academy this summer, with an eye on adding more one-day camps as the opportunities present themselves.
