North Stafford has been a powerhouse over the better part of this decade. They’ve been driven by skill players like Devin Ravenel and Devyn Ford, and while Ford will be the featured back again this Fall before he heads off to Penn State, watch out for wide receiver Jeremiah Jones.
Heading into the regular season, we recognize the top 30 senior prospects in all of Northern Virginia. That’s a tall task, considering that we track the talent at 86 high school programs in the region. Kicking off our countdown as the 29th best senior prospect region-wide is North Stafford wide receiver and tight end Jeremiah Jones.
#29 Jeremiah Jones (2019 WR/TE 6-3 215) – North Stafford High School
Jones has really blossomed since a year ago when he was closer to 5-11 and 190 pound. He’s gone from being a muscular and athletic wide receiver to getting more of a tight end’s body at 6-3 and 215 pounds.
“He looks like a defensive end. He’s a specimen,” said one coach in the district who’ll remain anonymous.
Jones is in line to play wide receiver and safety for the Wolverines this fall. He already holds scholarship offers from Morgan State and Norfolk State. With a strong campaign in the month of September, Jones is highly likely to earn a few more scholarship offers before it’s time for him to make a decision.
North Stafford opens their 2018 season on August 23 with a home game against Osbourn.
