Robinson Commits To JMU

First Colonial defensive tackle Simeyon Robinson came on in a huge way during his senior season. Robinson was a lanky defender going into his junior season, looking more like a pass catching tight end rather than a defensive lineman. Dessenberg Flips Commitment

($$) Ocean Lakes wide receiver Andre Dessenberg had a stellar season for the Ocean Lakes Dolphins. His production was astounding in a passing game that led the region in efficiency and scoring. Dessenberg finished the regular season with 63 catches for 872 yards and 18 touchdowns. Dre added to that total in five postseason games. He committed to Delaware back in September, but had a late change of heart.

McGill Makes The Call

($$) After being spurned by Maryland, Ocean Lakes lineman Demetri McGill was forced to re-open his recruitment. This was just a couple of weeks ago. Demetri settled on four schools to take official visits. By this past weekend, McGill narrowed the list to three after three visits. After time to think, McGill announced his intention Monday night.

QB Burns Picks CCU

When you’re playing for a private school, it’s sometimes hard to get noticed. When you’re 6-4 and 220, it’s hard to go unnoticed. Nansemond-Suffolk Academy quarterback Tim Burns hit the camps regularly last spring and summer, including stops at the NUC, Junior Rank, James Madison satellite camp, Wake Forest, and Coastal Carolina among others. After his senior season, more thought on the subject, and another visit, Coastal won out.
