Episcopal breeds some great athletes.
Rising senior wide receiver and defensive back Salim Turner-Muhammad (2019 WR/CB 6-1 170) certainly fits the mold.
Turner-Muhammad had no shortage of excellent options. High academic schools like UVA, Wake Forest, Duke, Vanderbilt, UNC and Harvard had offered.
On Sunday, Turner-Muhammad shut down his recruitment and elected to head to Stanford.
“I am COMMITTED to continuing my ACADEMIC & ATHLETIC careers at Stanford University!” said Salim on Twitter.
Alhamdulillah. The Beneficent. The Merciful.
I am COMMITTED to continuing my ACADEMIC & ATHLETIC careers at Stanford University! ?

With the commitment, he’ll follow former teammate Ricky Miezan to Stanford. Miezan was highly recruited for both football and lacrosse. Ricky chose to attend UNC on a lacrosse scholarship, but changed his mind and committed to Stanford to play football earlier this year. Miezan will attend Stanford as a member of the recruiting class of 2018. Stanford returned to Episcopal to snatch up Turner-Muhammad, who becomes part of Stanford’s recruiting class of 2019.
