College Coaches Flocking To Ocean Lakes (2014 Edition)

($$) It’s been a busy Spring Evaluation period for the Ocean Lakes Dolphins. College coaches have been roaming the halls, checking transcripts, and sizing up the vast amount of talent that takes the field on Friday nights in the fall. If all is well academically, it’s easy to assume that at least 25 players on the current roster will be playing college ball at some level in the next few years. Here’s a recap of who’s who on the recruiting radar for the rising seniors.

Eberle Commits Out-Of-State

Alec Eberle said that it was an easy decision based on the “love an out-of-state school showed” him; referring to the enthusiasm and eagerness of the college that recruited him. Alec describes the decision as “a can’t miss opportunity with a program with great coaching, state of the art facilities, and most importantly a commitment to the football program and its athletes.”

Boyce Adds New Offer

Poquoson defensive end and full back Grayson Boyce has worked hard this offseason. He’s bulked up to about 240 pounds, adding muscle which will serve him well in his senior season. His size and football abilities also serve him well in his hunt for college scholarships. Grayson added another offer last week, bringing him to three, with more on the way.

Brantley Soon To Be BMOC

Phoebus lineman Walter Brantley can’t wait for the day when he’s the BMOC. For those of you not picking up what I’m putting down, that’s “big man on campus”. At 6-3 and 330, Lil’ Walt, as he’s affectionately called, is literally the big man on Phoebus’ campus. It won’t be long before he’s walking the open spaces of a college campus.
