Just a few years ago we were celebrating Jordan Williams‘ All-American selection.
He graduated from Cox High School in Virginia Beach and went on to become a national champion at Clemson.
Williams graduated from Clemson last month with a degree in Communication Studies. With two years of eligibility remaining, the 6-4 310 pound defensive tackle will finish his college career at Virginia Tech as a grad transfer.
Jordan played three seasons at Clemson and got his first career start in 2020 after climbing a stacked depth chart. He played in 11 games for Clemson this past season, including time in the Tigers Sugar Bowl loss to Notre Dame last week.
Due to NCAA rules related to the Coronavirus, Williams holds an additional year of eligibility after redshirting in 2017 and playing in the 2018, 2019, and 2020 seasons at Clemson.
When originally recruited as a member of the recruiting class of 2017, Williams had Virginia Tech as one of his many options, but chose Clemson. He was a defensive end prospect coming out of the high school ranks.
He is expected to enroll at Virginia Tech this month.
