After narrowing his offer list in December, Episcopal athlete Litchfield Ajavon (JR ATH 6-1 190) has honed in on a decision.
recruitNoVA correspondent Jim McGrath reviewed his December announcement, and McGrath raved about Litchfield’s junior season.
“As a junior, Ajavon racked up 72 tackles (35 solo), and has developed a reputation as a player who may not blow a receiver away with his raw foot speed, but is quick from sideline-to-sideline, explosive off the ball, and well known as a fierce hitter. He was a VISAA state indoor champion as a 55-meter hurdler, showing that his coordination compliments his natural foot speed.”
His narrowed list included Clemson, Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Georgia and Virginia Tech.
According to national recruiting touts, Ajavon would commit to Notre Dame as long as the Irish could successfully fight off a late recruiting run by Michigan.
Litchfield is expected to fill a need in the defensive secondary for Notre Dame.
