The recruiting landscape is ever changing.
Princess Anne High School’s top player committed to UNC at the beginning of the month, then made a move to graduate early and enroll at North Carolina next month. The cupboard is far from bare at PA and there are other athletes who are picking up offers on a regular basis.
Princess Anne coach James Yeager gave recruit757 some insight on the offers.
“Tychaun is special and Florida State really likes him. They don’t recruit this area very hard, but they make an exception for a guy like Tychaun, per their coach. They think he has the skill set to be a dynamic playmaker at the next level,” Yeager said. “Minnesota picked up on Marquise after a guy from Houston decommitted from their class of 2021. They reopened the recruitment of that position. They only have one scholarship for it. They saw Marquise’ film and spoke with me about their academics and character. They like everything about him and they offered him. They plan on pursuing him.”
“Both these programs don’t come to the 757 very often, but it says a lot about these two players that they’re getting offers from these schools,” Yeager added.
We caught up with Chapman over the weekend and he added to what we already knew about his recruitment and his play making ability.
“I tell the coach to make sure he keeps the ball in my hands. Give me the ball as much as he can give it to me. I’m going to keep working,” Chapman said. “I just love the game of football. I keep playing and do my best. I’m going to keep working until we get a season.”
Chapman’s offer list includes Virginia, Old Dominion, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Oregon, Pitt, USC, West Virginia, Florida State and Nebraska.
Brunson is now at 20 offers with Virginia, Virginia Tech, East Carolina, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Northwestern, NC State, Tennessee, Maryland, Pitt, UConn, Georgia Tech, ODU, Liberty, Marshall, Buffalo, FIU, Charlotte and James Madison.
