Speedy Jamir Hudson is now quickly picking up scholarship offers

A spring and summer in the Bishop Sullivan football program, combined with travel to high exposure events has netted Jamir Hudson a few scholarship offers.
Hudson is a blazer. He’s not the biggest player on the field at 5’9″ and about 155, but he makes an impact as a return man, defensive back and slot receiver.
Late last week, Hudson added an offer from UVA-Wise. He’s just the latest Crusader to pick up a new college offer.
“(The coaches at UVA-Wise) told my receivers coach at Bishop that they have offered me,” Hudson commented via Twitter. “I haven’t talked on the phone with them yet… but I will soon. I know for sure that they like my speed because they know that I’m a 4.4 (forty) kid.”
Hudson is getting interest from a variety of schools, including Rutgers, Army, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Elon, Shenandoah, William and Mary, VMI and JMU. His first offer came from Kentucky Christian, so realistically Jamir could end up with options from Division I, Division II, Division III and the NAIA.
The decision to offer is in the hands of the coaches that are recruiting him. Jamir isn’t getting too worried about that. He’s working on the things he can control, and right now that means hard work in training and getting reps on the practice field. Recently, he earned the Iron Crusader award for his hard work in the Bishop Sullivan weight room.
“I have heard that (college coaches) will be attending the first couple of games this season to check me out. I have been performing great at all of the (college) camps and they really like me a lot. As long as I keep performing like I have been, then once the season kicks in everything should start rolling,” he said.
It’s full steam ahead for Jamir Hudson and the Crusaders.
Their official pre-season practices start Monday.
